1. What we use and why
A language preference, a record of your cookie choice and — only with your consent — analytics. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.
This page explains the cookies and similar storage technologies friendlyrefer uses, what each one does, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. Your choice
The banner offers Accept and Decline, and closing it leaves analytics off; only accepting turns analytics on. Declining or closing changes nothing about how you browse or apply. You can change your mind at any time with “Manage consent” in the footer.
3. Functional storage
The cookie friendlyrefer_lang (30 days) remembers the language you selected. The cookie friendlyrefer_cookie_accepted and a matching localStorage entry (1 year) record your choice with a timestamp, so we can show that consent was given.
4. Analytics — only with your consent
PostHog, hosted in the EU and reached through our own subdomain t.friendlyrefer.com, records page views, clicks, dead clicks, scrolling and Core Web Vitals, plus technical details such as browser, device and referring page. Your IP address is discarded and never stored, and no location is derived from it. An anonymous identifier is stored in the ph_..._posthog cookie and in localStorage for up to one year.
5. Session recordings and heatmaps
With your consent we also record how pages are used — clicks, scrolling, the page as it appeared and console errors — to find usability problems. Values typed into form fields are masked and never recorded, and recordings are never used to assess individuals or applications.
6. How long we keep it
Analytics data — page views, clicks, session recordings and heatmaps — is automatically deleted after 14 days. The language and consent records expire as described above, and application data is covered by our Privacy Policy.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and clear this site's storage at any time. If you remove your choice, the banner asks again on your next visit, and analytics stays off until you accept.
