This privacy policy explains how friendlyrefer ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects the personal data you provide when you apply for a role through this site. We process your data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What we collect
When you submit the application form, your email client packages the information you enter — name, email address, optional phone number, chosen position, languages spoken, EU work eligibility status, and your optional message — and sends it to friendlyrefer@duck.com. We do not store your data on any server on this website itself.
2. Why we process it
We use the information solely to evaluate your candidacy, contact you about the role, and keep a record of the recruitment process. We rely on your explicit GDPR consent (given via the checkbox on the form) as the lawful basis for processing.
3. How long we keep it
We keep applications for up to 12 months from receipt. If you are not selected, we permanently delete or anonymise your data at the end of that period, unless you explicitly ask us to keep it longer for future openings.
4. Who sees your data
Your application is read only by the friendlyrefer recruiting team. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third-party marketers. Email transport is handled by the email providers you and we use.
5. Your rights
You can at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can also withdraw your consent and ask us to stop processing. Email us at friendlyrefer@duck.com and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Contact
Any questions about this policy or your data can be sent to friendlyrefer@duck.com. If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
